C17954 POMPEII PHOTOGRAPH GROUPING. This guide to Pompeii is more of a picture collection that tourists could purchase instead of taking photographs. In some cases certain tourist attractions in Italy would not allow you to take pictures, however, instead they offer these guides as a little memorabilia. This booklet is 2" high and approximately 3" wide. On the front it states; Ricordo del Santuario, which means, Memory of the Sanctuary. It has 20 miniature photographs of Pompeii. It has a variety of pictures from outside the old city, and from within the city that was once covered by lava from the volcano Mt. Vesuvius. On the very last page it shows a restaurant and hotel, thus, one could assume that this was made by the establishment, or in partnership with the site. The photographs are all black and white, and they are in good condition. They are clear. They were printed on cardboard, and each photograph as a description of what you are seeing. It is a very nice example of a touristy memorabilia.
