C15453 CASED ITALIAN ISSUE ALKALINE EYE OINTMENT TUBE. This wine red box is 3 1/4 inch long, 1 inch wide and 1 inch thick. It contains a tube of eye ointment. The top of the box states that it is manufactured by the chemical institute of military pharmaceuticals (Istituto Chimico-farmaceutico Militare,) which was located in Florence (Firenze), however, that is not written here. It continues to state Collirio (eye drop), and the medical ingredients found in the eye drop; Optochina basica (basic optochina) 1 gr. Olio oliva lavato in alcool (olive oil washed in alcohol) 20.cc and finally, Vaselilna oftamilca (ophthalmic Vaseline) 100 gr. The box as been opened however the tube appears never to have been squeezed. The tube is the matching turquoise blue of the paper that was meant to seal the box. The writing on the tube is also exactly the same from the inscription on the front of the box. There are some little tiny perforated holes on the front and they do not appear to serve a purpose. Other then that little imperfection, this item as maintained its shape and it remains in good condition.
