C10652 FRENCH M35 BACKPACK STRAP. A 7/8" x 29 1/4", brown leather strap, one of whose ends is folded and sewn around a blackened metal, single-pronged buckle and its retaining loop. Most of the blackening to the buckle and its loop has been retained. Its other, rounded end has nine buckling holes along it, and there is a further four buckling holes positioned mid-way along the strap. Unmarked. The strap is moderately age and usage soiled, and there are noticeable cracks to it, particularly near its buckled end. At the base of the stitching to the buckled end is a crack which threatens to separate the strap. The consigner reports that this is for a French backpack.
