C094862 BRITISH 47TH INFANTRY DIVISION SHOULDER FLASHES.
The 47th was formed on November 21, 1940 by the re-designation of the 2nd London Division. The printed black canvas flashes, measure 5cm x 4cm to which is printed the "Bow Bells of London" which represents the Church of St. Mary-le-Bow (Bow Church). Tradition dictates that one who is born within sound of the Bow Bells is a true Londoner. The flashes have been removed from a tunic and show some wear to the surfaces as well as fraying to the edges. Nice example.GRADE***3/4 PRICE $65.00
