C084964 ROYAL MARINE WARRANT OFFICER 2ND CLASS KHAKI DRILL TUNIC AND SHORTS. A khaki drill service tunic with stand up collar with two hook closure to the neck has five brass button closure. Two integral shoulder straps with ‘R.M." shoulder tiles are to either side of the collar. Two pleated breast pockets with straight flaps are to the front. All brass buttons, including those attached to the shoulder straps and breast pockets, are inscribed "Royal Marines" with the Kings Crown surmounting a fowled anchor to the center. A two piece ribbon bar is attached above the left pocket which represent the Victory Medal 1914-18 and the British War Medal 1914-20. Above the left cuff is a two piece brass insignia of a Kings Crown which denotes the rank of Warrant Officer 2nd Class, with a Lewis Gunner’s brass trade badge is below. Two brass belt hooks are attached to side seams To the inside is a handwritten inscription "Harle M." , is broad arrow marked, as well as having a white cotton tag sewn to the inside. The chest measures approximately 36". A very nice, lightly used example. Included is a pair of khaki drill shorts with a four bakelite button French fly with fabric tabs that extend to corresponding tabs (two buttons are missing). Two vertical slash pockets are to either side, as well as, two horizontal slash pockets with button closures are to the rear (one button is missing). There is also a smaller "watch" pocket below the waist band to each side with a small metal snap. A small white tag is sewn to the inside of the waist band with "M. Chorlton" printed in red. The inside is also broad arrow marked. The waist measures approximately 29" with a 9" inseam. There is some light staining to the front, but overall a nice used
