C07552 WWI CANADIAN UNIT GROUP PHOTOGRAPH. An 8" x 6", black and white group photograph, glued to a 12" x 10" cardboard frame. Forty-two of the forty-six figures wear dark, stand-up collared, single-breasted tunics with pleated patch breast pockets, leather belts and visor caps. Three more are similarly dressed but that two of them wear a softer cap, and one wears no cap at all. The remaining figure appears to be a woman, and wears a dark dress and a darker head covering. Five of the tunics are piped along their collars, shoulder straps and cuffs. The rank chevrons of two Corporals and two Sergeants are visible. Most of the figures carry rifles, two with fixed bayonets, and a drummer and a bugler are to the front row. Between the two latter figures is a sign reading "For King and Country from St. Stephen N.B. 1915" ("N.B." is the abbreviation for New Brunswick, a province in eastern Canada). The photograph has yellowed somewhat with age, and the frame is lightly age soiled.
