C059463 BRITISH "KINGS OWN SCOTTISH BORDERERS" CAP BADGE. An Infantry regiment part of the Scottish Division since 1887. A stamped white metal alloy badge measuring approximately 6.5cm x 5cm featuring the Cross of St. Andrew within circle to the background that is inscribed "Kings Own Scottish Borderers." To the center is Edinburgh Castle with three turrets that each bear a flag. A surrounding wreath of thistle and the Royal Crest with St. Edwards crown completes the badge. The motto’s of the City of Edinburgh "In Veritate Religionis Confido" or "I put my trust in the truth of religion" and "Nist do Minus Frustra" or "Without the Lord everything is in vain" are also present on the badge. Two lugs are present on the reverse which is a mirror image of the front. Shows the expected light age toning, but overall excellent condition.
