C05454 ITALIAN MOTOR TRANSPORT PERSONNEL'S COLLAR TAB. A 2 7/8" x 1 1/8", stamped alloy, right "Mostrine" (collar patch), which features a raised, five-pointed "Stellete" (star), in a natural brass color, against orange enameled, triple "flames." The size of the star is consistent with those worn by NCOs and other ranks after 1933, with the color typical of that used by the Cavalry, but also of Artillery and Motor Transport (depending on the reference). A metal pin-back device is crimped to a plate diagonally brazed to its hollow-back reverse. The collar patch’s obverse is lightly age darkened and soiled, and its enamel has numerous small scratches to it.
