C047159 FRENCH M1884 NCO'S KEPI. NCO’s M1884 kepi. Red wool top with dark blue piping and centerband. A red wool number "2" is hand sewn to the front of the centerband indicating a member of the 2^nd Infantry Regiment. Gilt wire NCO’s chinstrap with brass buttons. Original, thick, black leather visor. Two piece liner system, with a course buckram to the sides and a blue cloth to the top. Liner is very well marked. Kepi is complete with its original 4cm wide leather sweatband. Approximately a size 56. Very attractive piece of headgear in superb condition.
