C04346 CASED BRITISH COMBAT ENGINEER'S MK.I WIRE CUTTERS. Unique folding wire cutters in their original khaki webbed carrying holster. The metal cutters open to their full 13" length when the handles are pulled apart. "E.T.F. Ltd." is embossed to each arm, "Mk.1" is stamped near the head. In their folded position, the cutters, with its handles and head facing upwards, fit into an approximately 10" x 3" webbed holster. The forward base of the holster features a rivetted inverted triangular pocket. A horizontal retaining strap with a central brass stud is sewn across the center. A large fold-over flap, with a brass snap button which mates with the stud to the retaining strap, is sewn to the top of the holster. The reverse features a vertical belt loop and a vertical brass buckle beneath that. The cutters show honest wear with some pitting and surface spotting. All of the stitching to the unmarked holster is intact, with typical chafing and fraying to the expected parts, and light to moderate surface soiling throughout. Rare
