C042065 UNION M1855 CARTRIDGE BOX. M855 cartridge box for the .58 cal rifled musket. Box leather is in excellent condition, showing only the typical light age crazing. Leather is still very pliable & no dry rot. Box still retains all of its straps and buckles. Face plate is missing, you can see the oval outline from where it was. Comes complete with both of its original tin ammunition inserts. Unmarked.
