C040159 ITALIAN GIL YOUTH BADGE.
BACKGROUND: In 1930 the MVSN started recruiting members from the fascist youth organization and formed them into the GIL, "Gioventu Italiana del Littorio," in 1937.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: This 1 1/2" diameter alloy badge has, to its obverse face, the embossed profile of the helmeted "Il Duce" to its center, with "Credere-Obbedire-Combattere-G.I.L." embossed along its outside edge. Pinback device is missing. Nice makers mark to reverse.
