C038359 SHEET OF CAPTURED WW2 ITALIAN INSIGNIA. It was very typical for Allied soldiers to collect badges and insignia from captured enemy troops and then attach them to either belts or blankets to take home at wars end. Very interesting group lot of captured Italian insignia, all mounted on a 40cm x 38cm section of white cloth. In total there are 35 assorted cap badges and various other insignia hand sewn to the sheet. More common to see this done with captured German insignia, this is the first time I have seen it done with Italian. Would have come back with a Canadian vet.
