C034358 CZECHOSLOVAKIAN M34 COMBAT HELMET. Distinctive helmet used by the Czech armed forces subtly flairs out from the crown, evenly on all sides, and has seven rivets, for the liner and chin strap, along its base. The olive drab painted helmet 90% of its original finish. The liner is comprised of five separate pads, each with two "fingers," each finger having a grommet. A tie string is fed through each of the ten grommets, connecting all of the pads. Each of the pad’s contain a white cloth padding bag stuffed with straw. The brown leather chinstrap has, to the left side, a steel pronged roller buckle and, to the right side, seven buckling holes. The bases of both straps pass through suspension rings to either side, are folded over and fixed by floating rivets. Shell is inkstamped "37 Sch M". Superb example.
