C032858 FINNISH COMBAT ENGINEER SERGEANT-MAJOR'S M36 SERVICE TUNIC. The field green/gray tunic features a six button front closure with a lay down collar with a double hook and eye closure. The tunic has two, pleated patch, breast pockets with scalloped button down flaps and two saddle bag pockets with expanding sides and straight edged button down flaps. The molded bakelite or composite construction button are all in a grey/green color with an Image of the Finnish lion with sword to the front. All buttons look to have original period stitching. Collar tabs are approximately 40mm x 80mm, constructed from a purple wool and yellow and grey machine embroidery. Shoulder straps are constructed from the same material as the rest of the tunic and each has the brass Engineers cypher pinned on. The interior of the tunic is fully lined in two types of black and blue synthetic silk with the sleeves lined in a black lined, off-white, cotton. The lining has a horizontal slash pocket to the left breast. Couple of minor holes and one tiny sewing repair above the right breast pocket. Tunic shows actual period use & wear.
