The airborne forces formation badge was made up of the figure of Bellerophon, a character from Greek mythology who was the first airborne soldier, seated on a winged Pegasus. The 2 3/4" square badge is yellow machine embroidery on blue felt with a black cloth backing. The badge is in good condition with some light nap wear and a couple of minor black marks to the obverse. The British badge was light blue on maroon and as this one is yellow on blue it is possible it is from another Commonwealth country or from a specialized force and any information about the badge would be appreciated.
