C01652 ITALIAN ARTILLERY OFFICER'S VISOR CAP INSIGNIA. A 2 5/8" x 2 5/8" embroidered cap badge, comprised of gilt-colored wire threads around a wooden armature on a grey felt base. The badge is in the form of crossed cannons, above which is a flaming bomb with "132" pinned to its center. The wire has begun to unravel to the ends of both of the cannons, and most of the finish to the remaining wire has dulled. The stamped numbers, in imitation of the embroidery, exhibit light verdigris. Its felt base has edge wear from where it was removed from a cap.
