C013258 ESTONIAN OFFICER'S BELT & OPEN CLAW BELT BUCKLE. (Koppel und Koppelschloß) A 45" x 2", brown leather belt, one end of which is folded and sewn around a single claw brass buckle, and 13 corresponding buckling holes are to its other, rounded end. A floating, vertical leather retaining loop, 1 1/8" wide, is fed unto the belt. There is a built in brass D-Ring for attachment of the cross strap. Original owners initial "BV" are hand carved on the inside leather of the belt. The belt's brass buckle has darkened with age, as has its leather, and chafe wear and pervasive cracking is evident along its length, but it is otherwise intact and still supple. The consigner reports that the belt is from an Estonian uniform.
