C012056 WWI CANADIAN VICTORY LOAN POSTER. An 8 1/2" x 11", double-sided advertisement for, as is printed prominently to one side, "Victory Loan 1918." To the top of that side is printed, in red, "Behind the Gun the Man - Behind the Man the Dollar," and similarly printed to its base is, "Make Your Dollars Fight the Hun." Also indicated to this side are details concerning the interest and maturities on the loans, and that, "The proceeds of the Loan will be used for war purposes only, including the purchase of grain, foodstuffs, munitions and other supplies, and will be spent wholly in Canada." To the other side of the advertisement are more details, mostly concerning subscriptions, with, "Subscription Lists will close on or before November 16th, 1918.," printed to its base, followed by an October date from that year. The paper is typically, lightly age yellowed and soiled, but has no fold lines or significant edge wear.
