C010058 ESTONIAN FIRE POLICE EM'S M1910 SERVICE TUNIC & PANTS. A nice quality, M1910, black wool construction, double breasted style, waist length, service tunic with a lay down collar piped in red. The tunic features dual, vertical, parallel, rows of six front closure buttons with corresponding button holes on the left and right front panels. The tunic has small fold back lapels and a single metal hook and eye at the neck. There are two, horizontal slash, front, hip pockets with straight edge flaps situated at the waistline. To either side, protruding out of the cloth, are wire belt hooks. The straight cut sleeves have half simulated French cuffs which are piped in red at the upper edge along with two decorative buttons by the outer seam. To the shoulders are sewn in shoulder boards, piped in red, with retaining buttons. The tunic has a large lay down cloth collar with zig-zag reinforcement stitching to the reverse. Sewn to each side of the collar are, 1" by 3 3/4", red collar tabs which have a single button to the top. The interior of the tunic is fully lined in black rayon with grey, black and white striped cotton to the sleeves. The lining has a horizontal slash pocket to the left breast. All of the buttons are gilt alloy capped, steel, shank buttons and are embossed with a wreath, to whose center is a, gladiator style, fireman’s helmet superimposed over a pair of crossed fire axes, all surmounted by a shield with three lions passant guardant (Estonian Shield). The tunic comes with a pair of very nice quality, black wool construction straight legged long pants. The pants feature a vertical, three button French fly with a single metal hook and eye, and a flap with button positioned on the waistband. The pants have two vertical side seam slash front pockets with two short, vertical, tapering darts to back waistband and a single, horizontal slash pocket, with a button down scalloped flap closure to the right rear. The lined waistband had to the reverse center, two suspender buttons and an additional four evenly spaced suspender buttons on the interior front that have been removed. There are 5 belt loops spaced around the waist. There are also to either side adjustment straps that attach to blued, steel plate, gripper buckles. The outside leg seams are each piped in red the full length of the legs. The interior waistband and fly are lined with a purple-grey, white and light blue striped, cotton while the pocket bags a constructed in heavier white cotton. All the black bakelite buttons are embossed "Solide Elegant" (Solidly Elegant) with two stars and appear to have their original stitching. The pants are in good condition with only the missing suspender buttons and a tiny hole to the right side of the waist as distractions. The tunic is in very good condition with small areas of minor to light nap wear and a tiny hole to the left shoulder strap. The tunic is roughly size 40" chest while the pant are about a 32" waist.
