PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: A pair of very nice quality, black wool construction straight legged long pants. The pants feature a vertical, four button French fly with a single metal hook and eye, and a flap with button positioned on the waistband. The pants have two vertical slash front pockets with two short, vertical, tapering darts between the pockets and the fly, a horizontal slash watch pocket on the left front and a single, horizontal slash pocket, with a button down scalloped flap closure to the right rear. The lined waistband has to the reverse center, two suspender buttons and an additional four evenly spaced suspender buttons on the interior front. To either side of the waist are 9" by 1 3/8" tunnel loops and there is a single belt loop to the rear. There are also to either side adjustment straps that attach to nickel/silver plated, steel plate, friction buckles. The outside leg seams are each piped in grey with a 3/8" wide woven tress stripe, grey with a blue zig-zag pattern, to either side of the piping, machine stitched the full length of the legs. The interior waistband and fly are lined with a grey, black striped, cotton while the pocket bags a constructed in white cotton. All the black bakelite buttons are embossed "Solide Elegant" (Solidly Elegant) with two stars and appear to have their original stitching. The pants are in fairly good condition with some red staining to the woven tress stripes, usage staining to the interior lining and pocket bags, a 1" hole to the right tunnel loop and a hole to the fabric on the right adjustment strap.
