C008958 ESTONIAN FIRE POLICE FEMALE'S M36 SERVICE BERET.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: A black, multi piece beret, with a one piece crown, piped in grey, and a four piece body with seams at each cardinal point. Attached to the front of the beret, between two buttons, is a gilt, alloy, cap badge, with a grey cloth backing, that consists of a wreath to whose center is a fireman’s helmet superimposed over a pair of crossed fire axes. To the top of the wreath is a shield with three lions passant guardant (Estonian Shield) while to either side at the bottom are flames. The two gilt, alloy buttons, are embossed with a fireman’s helmet within a wreath and hold the ends of a black, braided cord whose middle is sewn to the center of the crown. The interior of the beret is completely lined with a black cotton cloth which has a split at the front edge to allow access to the cap badge mounting prongs. The beret is in good condition and the cap badge and button retain almost all their gilt.
