C007663 BRITISH "ARMY CATERING CORPS" CAP BADGE.
Originally formed in 1941 as part of the Royal Army Service Corps and responsible for feeding all Army units, eventually became a corps of it’s own in 1965. The stamped, brass cap badge shows a steaming caldron to the center with "Army Catering Corps" on the outside and is surmounted by a Kings Crown. The reverse is a mirror image of the front with a slider. The badge measures 2.5cm x 4cm with a 4.5cm long slider. The Kings crown is bent backward on one side and shows period use and wear but overall intact and in usable condition.GRADE *** 1/2 PRICE $29.00
