C007256 CANADIAN WWI EASTERN ONTARIO INFANTRY REGIMENT DEPOT BATTALION PENNANT.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:
A triangular, multi-piece pennant, about 33 1/2" long with a 12" tall hoist edge. The front of the pennant has a red field with a white edge, 3/4" wide, top and bottom, both made from terry cloth. This is surrounded on all three edges by a strip of blue felt. Attached to the hoist edge are four white cloth ties, about 5 1/2" long by 1/2" wide, sewn two to the top and two to the bottom. One of the ties on the bottom has broken off at about 3". The red field has sewn to it a battalion crest consisting of a double oval with a "1", "Canada", a beaver, and "CEF" in the center surrounded by the text "Depot Battalion Eastern Ontario Regt" surmounted by a King’s Crown, all superimposed on a maple leaf mounted on a scroll with the motto "Semper Paratus" (Always Prepared). To the right of the crest, in blue letters with white backing, individually sewn on is "Canada". The reverse of the pennant has a white felt backing. The pennant is in great condition, considering its age, with only light to moderate age soiling.GRADE**** PRICE $176.00
