C005257 ESTONIAN INFANTRY EM/NCO'S VISOR CAP.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: A visor cap with a one-piece crown, four-piece body with seams at each of its cardinal points, center band, and the top of the stiff visor, all in whipcord weave khaki wool with the underside of the visor in black leather. Two brown painted steel grommet ventilation holes are under each side of the crown. The cap has an adjustable brown leather chin strap with dual adjustment sliders that is attached over each ear by gold colored steel buttons. To each of the buttons is embossed three lions that represent Estonia. A gold colored alloy cap badge, which consists of an Estonian shield mounted on crossed swords, with a blue cloth backing, surrounded by a wreath, is mounted to the front center band. Above the cap badge is an eight pointed star cockade with three colored concentric circles to its center, the colors being blue, black and white. To the interior is the black patent leather sweatband which is complete and in good condition although it is stiffening with age. There is an indecipherable name that appears to be hand written to the cardboard stiffener under the sweatband. The interior body is lined with purple rayon while the crown is lined in blue rayon. The cap is in good condition with some minor nap wear, usage staining and one hole to the crown.
