C002056 WWI BRITISH BUTTON POLISHING TOOL. Brass construction, 6.5" x 1.5". Used to keep the tunic clean while polishing the buttons. The gap in the center would be slid between the tunic and the button, allowing the soldier to safely clean several buttons at a time. Maker marked "C.C.B."
