L024862 HERMANN GORING 1940 MEDALLION. (Medaille) Interesting, unofficial, 1940 Hermann Goring commemorative medallion. Roughly, 60mm diameter, 3mm thick, die struck, alloy construction, non-portable medallion. Front of the medallion has an image of Goring in uniform with the inscription "REICHSMARSCHALL HERMANN GÖRING" and "SCHÖPFER DER NEUEN DEUTSCHEN LUFTWAFFE 1940". The reverse has an image of Goring sitting in his WW1 aircraft with the inscription/qoute "LETZER KOMMANDEUR JAGDGESCHWADER RICHTOFEN", "UNSER WEG IST DUNKEL KAMERADEN ABER-UNSERE TRUE-WIRD UNSER LICHT SEIN!" and "Goring 1918". Nice example.
