BACKGROUND: Basic human instinct dictates that soldiers in the field, regardless of nationality, long for their loved ones at home. As a result it was very common for these soldiers to have themselves photographed and send the photos home. As today, there were also numerous other reasons to pose for 

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Roughly, 9" x 13", eight page photo album with what appears to be a padded, simulated "leather" cover. The album contains 82 assorted sized, candid, black and white photographs. The photographs show various KM uniform and insignia in wear and use. All of the pages have dates and locations hand written on them. The pictures are in very good condition with light to moderate age yellowing. Interestingly the cover has a Luftwaffe eagle embossed to the front.
