K02052 "OUR BLUE YOUTH" BOOKLET. (Büchlein) A 4 3/4" x 6 1/4", softcover, 64 page booklet lavishly illustrated with black and white engravings and line drawings. Its color cover depicts two uniformed "Matrosen" (Sailors), one with a pair of binoculars, the other with a pipe and a rifle. "Unsere blauen Jungen" (Our blue Youth) is printed over the image, and "Marine-Anekdoten" (Naval Anecdotes) is printed underneath it. Interestingly, the cover is stapled over another, identical cover. The title page is sub-titled "Heitere Marinebilder, Matrosenlieder und Witztorpedos von der Waterkant" (Cheerful Naval-drawings, Sailor’s-songs and Joke-torpedoes from the "Waterkant"(?)). Poems, patriotic and humorous illustrations, short stories and advertisements follow. Other titles from the same publisher are listed to the reverse cover. Typical light age yellowing is to the interior pages, and the covers are lightly soiled.
