BACKGROUND: "Die Kriegsmarine" magazine was the official magazine of the German Navy during WWII and was published twice monthly in Berlin by the Marine-Verlag firm with the assistance of the OKM, Oberkommandos der Marine, (High Command of the Navy).
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: 12 7/8" x 9 3/8", twelve page, printed, "Die Kriegsmarine", magazine with dated heading, "Erstes Jan.-Heft 1943", (First Edition of January 1943). Magazine contains many articles, stories, photo’s all dealing with the activities of Kriegsmarine surface and U-Boat fleets. Excellent research material showing period uniforms and equipment in use. Pages show the expected age yellowing, but overall excellent condition.
