J11250 (IJA) BOXED 1ST CLASS ARTILLERY AIMING MEDAL. An approximately 1 3/4" square, 3/8" tall, white cardboard case with stamped kanji to its cover containing an alloy medal. The medal, packed in thin beige paper, takes the form of a 1 3/8" chrysanthemum, in silver with a gold border and articulations, with crossed gold cannons upon it. To the reverse is a broad, vertical attachment clip, hinged at its top and with a slot to its base which passes through a corresponding ring. Unmarked. Some age darkening is evident, but the medal appears to retain over 90% of its original finish to its obverse. Its box is moderately age soiled. Very difficult badge to locate.
