J09451 (IJA) PILOT’S FLIGHT GLOVES. Technically winter gloves, but favored by pilots in most weather conditions and high altitude flying. Of multi-piece dark brown suede construction, the outside of each wrist has a 12" thin leather strap sewn to it which pass through a retaining loop to the inside of the wrist and is then gathered through a brass grommet on a suede tab extending beside where the strap started. Each of the gloves have their wrists lined in rabbit fur, with the remainder of their interior in wool. Indecipherable ink stamps are to the base of each wrist. Light age and usage soiling is evident.
