J05454 (IJA) WINTER FLIGHT SUIT BELT. A 50" x 2 1/4", olive brown cotton belt, for the matching, one-piece flight suit, as introduced in 1937. One of its ends is wrapped and sewn around a single-pronged, nickel-silver plated, rectangular metal buckle, beyond which is an olive brown cotton, floating retaining loop, and the other, pointed end features thirteen buckling grommets. Moderate surface spotting may be seen to many of the grommets, and the belt itself exhibits light nap and chafe wear in several places along its length.
