J03655 (IJA) PERSONAL MEDICAL SUPPLY BAG. A 4 1/2" x 7 1/8", white cotton bag, to whose obverse is sewn a red, felt cross, near which is stamped what is most likely a monogram, in red and within a square. The bag is open along its top, and there are knotted threads near each base corner of its reverse. Light to moderate age and usage spoiling is evident throughout, but there are no obvious stains, tears, or repairs, although the felt cross has several noticeable moth nips to it. A bag almost identical to this one may be seen to page 209, plate 882, of Tadao Nakata’s "Imperial Japanese Army and Navy Uniforms and Equipment."
