J013858 NATIONAL "RISING SUN" WAR FLAG. An approximately 30" x 32", white silk flag upon which is printed, in red, a "Rising Sun" comprised of sixteen rays emanating from its central, 11" diameter "Himaru." The flag has machine sewn repair on the white field which looks to be period done. Remnants on the corner re-enforcement material is still visible, but the tie-strings are now gone. These are getting hard to find, don’t turn up very often. Nice example in a very good display size. Side with-out the repair displays fine.
