J006659( IJA) TYPE 90 COMBAT HELMET WITH CAMOUFLAGE NET. The standard WWII Japanese infantry combat helmet, with camouflage netting. The shell, constructed from chrome molybend steel, retains about 90% of its matt finish olive drab paint. The IJA metal star affixed to the front is painted the same as the shell. The three pad pigskin liner and band is complete to the interior including all the original stuffing for the liner pads. Original size adjustment string is present. Complete, full length chinstrap. Has the original owner name handwritten onto a small piece of cloth that is sew to the rear chinstrap attachment bracing. Most of the original olive drab paint has been retained to the interior. A text book example of an issue camouflage net is still with the helmet. Net is in superb condition. A kanji character for size "large" indication, is stamped and painted to the rear interior apron beside a five-pointed star (makers mark). Superb example!
