J006062 (IJA) SOLDIER'S "EARLY PATTERN" HANDBOOK. Nice example of a Japanese soldiers handbook. Tan canvas cover, 13cm x 8cm, roughly 32 pages. Each new recruit would have been issued one. Original owners name in kanji to the reverse. Has a leather closing strap as opposed to the canvas on the later pattern example. Worms have eaten some tiny holes in a it a long time ago and it shows the expected age yellowing but overall nice condition.
