J004866 (IJA) INFANTRY "TYPE 30" BAYONET. A variation Q, LB No. 161 bayonet. Serial numbers and manufacturer’s stamps are evident to the head of the blued, rectangular pommel with a stud guide and button release. The age-darkened, flat-sided wooden grips with a contoured, wraparound bottom are fixed with two rivets. The blued, straight contoured metal cross guard has a circular muzzle guide. Its 38cm blade has no fullers, and retains approximately 70% of its original bluing. The maker’s mark to the ricasso indicates that it was made by Jinsen. No Scabbard.
