J004659 (IJA) OFFICER'S (JUSTICE) VISOR CAP. Pretty much identical to the standard visor cap, with the exception of the color of the centerband being in the same olive drab color as the rest of the cap. Used by Military Justice officials, Judges and Guards. The cap’s olive drab wool body and crown are in a fine quality tricot wool. The one-piece crown is piped in olive drab wool to its edge, and is complete with its original internal wire stiffener. The four-piece body has seams at each of its cardinal points. The standard Army five-pointed star is affixed to the front of the center band, is worn to its highlights. The cap has its original black patent finished chinstrap, with dual adjustment sliders, fixed by gilt-washed alloy buttons with embossed chrysanthemums, which exhibit only light age darkening. The black patent finished visor shows normal age checking and still retains all of its reinforced edging material and stitching. The black cotton liner is complete and unmarred, and features triangular shaped white name tag. The black ersatz sweatband complete and in good condition showing the expected light cracking which is so typical for them. Very nice example.
