Toyoda Automatic Loom Work 103rd Series (i.e., hiragana ""ro"" and ""to"") bayonet, with a blued, flat sided, contoured bird's head pommel and button release. Serial numbers (56483). ""NA"" inspection mark. The contoured wraparound wooden grips are fixed with two slotted screws. The late war, blued, straight, contoured double cross guard has a flat tip to one end and a circular muzzle guide to the other. The 15 1/2" fullered, blued blade is in excellent condition with about 94% original bluing. The first pattern sheet metal scabbard, with a ball tip, is in excellent, and retains about 95% of its original bluing. Very nice example.
