J001165 (IJN) EM'S WHITE SUMMER SIDE CAP. A white canvas construction side cap as used by the Japanese navy. A machine embroidered black anchor on a vertical oval patch is sewn to its front. The doubled, canvas chin strap, in the same color as the rest of the cap, is complete with its two adjustment loops. The short, un-stiffened visor is made of the same material as the body, and features five parallel rows of stitching. The cap has three reinforced ventilation holes to either side of its crown. Two reinforced eyelets are on either side of a slit to the reverse, where a tie string is looped between them for size adjustment. Nice issue tag to the interior. Its sweatband, in the same material as the cap. Shows the expected light age toning, but overall excellent condition.
