J000757 (IJA) CAVALRY BRANCH OF SERVICE BREAST BADGE. An "M" shaped insignia, 1 7/8" across, indicating the arm of service and worn over the right breast of the tunic. In this instance, the green on the olive drab wool base distinguished the wearer as belonging to the Cavalry. This insignia was not worn after 1940. Green hand stitching may be seen to its olive drab-colored linen backing. The insignia is in very good, unused condition, with only light age toning and nap wear.
