J000657 (IJA) MEDICAL BRANCH OF SERVICE BREAST BADGE. An "M" shaped insignia, 1 7/8" across, indicating the arm of service and worn over the right breast of the tunic. In this instance, the (very) dark green on the olive drab wool base distinguished the wearer as belonging to the Medical department. Green hand stitching may be seen to its black-colored linen backing. The insignia is in very good, unused condition, with only light age toning and nap wear.
