J000260 (IJA) TYPE 90 COMBAT HELMET. The type 90 was the standard WWII Japanese infantry combat helmet. The shell, constructed from chrome molybend steel, retains about 85% of its original matt finish olive drab paint. The IJA metal star affixed to the front. The helmet is complete with its original cloth chinstrap, showing light to moderate age soiling. A kanji character for size "large" indication, is stamped to the rear interior apron. Numerous other, black, hand painted kanji can been seen to the inside shell. Missing is liner and liner attachment pins. Decent example.
