G11455 M1915 WIRE CUTTERS. (Drahtzange)

BACKGROUND: In 1914, the M1911 wire cutters were in general use through-out the German army. The M1911's were approximately 11" in length. These were replaced in a year later with the M1915. The new M1915's were extended in length to app 13" to 14". These should not be confused with the pioneer models which were considerably longer.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Excellent untouched pair of M1915's. Roughly, 14" tall, tooled steel and sheet metal construction wire cutters. The wire cutters still function although the cutting blades both have a few small dents. The wire cutters only retain remnants of their original bluing with moderate surface spotting. Nicely maker marked to "DELTAWERK SOLINGEN".
