PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: A steel shovel head roughly 8" long and 5 3/4" wide attached to a 12" wooden handle, for an overall length of 20". There is an enlarged ball to the end of the handle for ease of use and a 3 1/2" section of the handle just in front of the ball to reduce the tendency to twist when being used. The blades were originally painted black but has been repainted olive drab with some of the black paint showing though in spots. There is wear to its edges and a crack under one rivet. There is a makers name stamped in the obverse of the blade that appears to be "Floker." The handle has multiple dents, scratches and a couple of cuts in it.
