PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: This black and white bi-fold card is 4 1/4" high by 2 3/4" wide. The uniform worn by the soldier is that of the Austro-Hungarian officer. The front states his name; Johann Buttinger, as well as, his date of death, 31 of August 1919, and he was 30 years old. Below that inscription there is a prayer. The central images is of a cross and a tombstone. The card is in good condition with surface soiling, as well as, age yellowing and edge wear, caused by age.
