G015457 ARTWORK POSTCARD. (Postkarte) A 5 1/2" x 3 1/2", printed cardstock postcard, whose obverse features a decorative green border, with "P" within its lower left, and "W" within its lower right, corners. To the upper left is, encircled by a golden ring, a black, Imperial eagle, whose beak and talons are red, surmounted by a golden crown, with a golden necklace of crosses around its neck, and a shield with another crowned, Imperial eagle to its breast. To the right of the image is a quotation, "Noch nie ward Deutschland überwunden, wenn es einig war" (Yet never was Germany overcome when it united was), from, as is indicated to its base, "Wilhelm II." To the reverse is, to the right, lines for an address, and, to the left, a space for a note. The publisher’s logo is to the base of the left space. The postcard was unused. Light age yellowing and soiling is evident, with more moderate soiling over the quotation, and a noticeable crease crosses over the eagle. All of its colors, however, are still bright.
