G01248 CASED MG08 BLANK FIRING DEVICE. Blued, tooled steel blank firing device for the MG08. Cylindrical device is roughly 5 1/4" tall with an extended, screw threaded tip to one end and an extended dual slotted tip to other end. Device also has three six sided nuts to slotted tip end. Body of device has three large "U" shaped cut-outs and two internal components with screw threads to one. Device is well marked with no fewer then five small faint waffen-amt stamps. Bluing is retained about 90% with small spots of chafe wear to base steel. Device comes housed in a 5 1/2" tall, tooled and blued steel cylindrical case with a diamond grooved screw off top lid. Case has a 2 5/8" diameter top tapering down to 2 1/2" at bottom. Original bluing is retained about 95% with small areas of minor surface spotting.
