G009758 EM/NCO'S M1915 DRILL/WORK PANTS. (Arbeitshose)

BACKGROUND: All German soldiers were issued twill work uniforms in order to save there regular uniform from excessive wear. Originally issued in a light grey color, this was changed in 1915 to feldgrau for better camouflage purposes. The twill work uniform where used extensively with front line troops and also troops serving behind the line.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Very nice set of M1915 twill work pants. Ribbed, feldgrau HBT cloth construction. Five button fly front closer. Dual stitched exterior watch pocket to right upper leg area. All of the zinc suspender buttons are complete. Buttons all have original stitching. Nice original size markings still present. Has a WW2 re-issue marking indicting the pants where to be re-issued to "foreign war helper". Waist is a size 38. Some light soiling, but overall very nice. Nice to see a set of original WW1 HBT trousers.
